More than a decade ago, Renaud met Gerry, a fly fisherman whose way of speaking about rivers felt closer to listening than instruction. Their encounters unfolded along moving water, where stories surfaced slowly, and nothing was ever fully explained. Fishing became less about the catch and more about learning how to read what remains unseen.
