In the heart of the Karakoram, Pakistani climber Mueez Ud Din attempts a first ascent in his own backyard-where the biggest peaks have long been claimed by outsiders. Climbing with his uncle Javed Ali and French alpinist Mathieu Maynadier, he enters an unexplored glacier system, confronting unstable conditions, limited resources, and the realities of operating at the sharp end of alpinism for the first time.
