Halji village, in north-western Nepal, is a living museum which houses an 11th-century Buddhist monastery. Unfortunately, the monastery lies just six kilometers below a dangerous glacier, the source of recent destructive flooding. Despite the danger, Buddhist monk Sonam and female yak herder Pema have chosen to stay in Halji, along with 500 other community residents.
